To update the firmware within betaflight you need to select the target to be OMNIBUS.
If you are using frsky, and want telemetry. you need to solder the telemetry cable to the receiver (before the signal is inverted). only SBUS input is inverted in the board. the F4 CPU does not have "built-in inversion".
